Kenneth Feinberg

Kenneth Feinberg is the managing partner and founder of The Feinberg Group, LLP, and one of the nation’s leading experts in mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He serves as Special Master of the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund, appointed by the United States Attorney General. Mr. Feinberg has had a distinguished teaching career as Adjunct Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center, University of Pennsylvania Law School, new York University School of Law, the University of Virginia Law School and Columbia Law School.

Samuel Issacharoff

Professor Samuel Issacharoff is the Harold R. Medina Professor in Procedural Jurisprudence at Columbia Law School. His wide-ranging research deals with issues in civil procedure (especially complex litigation and class actions), law and economics, constitutional law, particularly with regard to voting rights and electoral systems, and employment law. He is a leading figure in the field of procedure, both in the legal and academic communities, and now serves as the Reporter for the newly created Project on Aggregate Litigation of the American Law Institute.

For 30 years, Professor Burt Neuborne has been one of the foremost civil liberties lawyers in America. At the same time, he has forged a national reputation as a constitutional scholar and teacher as the John Norton Pomeroy Professor of Law at New York University School of Law. As Legal Director of the Brennan Center, Professor Neuborne is at the center of emerging legal issues affecting democracy, poverty and the criminal justice system. He served as co-counsel to Senators McCain and Feingold in defense of Congress's efforts at campaign finance reform.

Professor Catherine M. Sharkey is an Associate Professor of Law at Columbia Law School. Her areas of teaching and research are torts, punitive damages, remedies, and products liability. She testified recently as an academic expert on punitive damages before the California State Assembly Committee on the Judiciary regarding Governor Schwarzenegger's proposal to divert 75% of punitive damages awards to the state. She has written articles on punitive damages and tort reform in the Yale Law Journal, Texas Law Review, N.Y.U. Law Review, and Maryland Law Review.

He is one of the pioneers in the development of mediation, teaching, and lecturing to fellow mediators and lawyers throughout the United States and has extensive expertise in designing the process and resolving complex, multi-party, high-stake cases.
