He wrote his senior thesis on the relations between Turkey and the European Union, and won a Socrates scholarship for researches abroad at Bilkent University of Ankara, Turkey (2003-2004). Dr. Miotti won two scholarships at the Erasmus office of the department of International Law at University of Rome "La Sapienza" (2001-2002 and 2002-2003) and an Erasmus scholarship at Stockholm University, Sweden.
