Peter C. Haley
Peter C. Haley, a founding partner of Nielsen, Haley & Abbott in San Francisco and Los Angeles, holds undergraduate and law degrees from Berkeley. He has represented (or served as an expert witness for) all major financial industry insurers. He also has often served as a coverage consultant for hedge funds and banks.
Mr. Haley’s assignments have included Ponzi scheme and corporate insurance coverage cases such as Enron (Houston), Dominelli (La Jolla), Peregrine Funding (San Diego), Southwest Exchange (Las Vegas) and Financial Corporation of America (Los Angeles). His many articles include “Paradigms of Proximate Cause,” XXXVI Tort & Ins. L.J. 147 (2000); and he is completing “Madoff’s Minions and Their Insurance Dilemmas” for the Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance.
