Steven E. Fineman
Steven E. Fineman is the Managing Partner of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, and practices in the firm's New York office. Mr. Fineman is an experienced and nationally-recognized litigator, practicing in the areas of securities and financial fraud on behalf of institutional and individual investors, mass torts, and human rights.
Mr. Fineman writes and speaks frequently on federal court practice and complex litigation and is a leader in organizations devoted to serving the interests of civil justice and access to the courts for all. He is the Treasurer of the Public Justice Foundation and since 2002 has served on the foundation's executive committee. Mr. Fineman has also been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Civil Justice Foundation since 2004.
In 2002, The National Law Journal recognized Mr. Fineman as one the nation's most successful young litigators. He has been repeatedly recognized as one of the "New York Area's Best Lawyers" by Best Lawyers in America, the oldest lawyer-rating publication in the country. Last year, Lawdragon magazine selected him as one of the nation's "100 Managing Partners You Need to Know." Mr. Fineman is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
